Directory Submission

     I discussed about What is SEO (Basic about SEO) at my previous post. Now I would like to discuss with you all about Directory Submission.

     Submitting your website or URL to different web directories are one of the simplest & smartest way to get quality incoming back-links. Web Directory is a kind of directory site on the WWW (world wide web). It is also known as link directory. It specializes in involving to other web sites and categorizes individuals links. It is not a Search Engine, just lists other sites by category and subcategory. Most of the directories are General in level and list other websites (list our sites) athwart a large array of categories, regions and languages. There are some niche related directories (Adult, Automotive, Blogs, Business, Edu., Foods & Drinks, Hostings, Freebie, Dating, Computers etc. niches) too. They mostly spotlight on classified regions, particular language or dedicated sectors. This is why it is very much important to select proper directory for your website (based on your site category). Besides this you should remember some important things. They are given below:

•  Selecting proper category.
•  Fill up all necessary boxes carefully (like submitter name, email, your site's URL, Site Title etc.).
•  If you want to submit links with Reciprocal links then fill up that box.
•  Some sites may demand meta descriptions, meta keywords, tag 1, tag 2, tag 3. Fill those boxes with your site related meta descriptions & keywords etc.
•  Some site may demand for Conformation Code or Human Verification Code. Fill it sincerely.
•  After filling all boxes click at Continue or Submit button for submission. 

     After completing your submission you will find a screen like

 

     When your website approved at submitted directory you will notify via given email (that email which you gave during directory submission process). If approved then they send you a email (at that email which you gave during directory submission process) like this 

     You will find a link, through that link you will look for a page with your submission. This is alike a picture submitted below:
